Cunard Eagle Airways G-AHPM 9.August 1961

The plane was on its way from London to Stavanger. On board were a crew of three, two teachers and 34 boys aged 13 to16 years from Lanfranc School in Croydon. They were going on an adventure holiday in Ryfylke.
Weather was stormy, with low cloud cover and strong wind. The plane had veered off course and had flown east at too low an altitude. The plane crashed into the mountain-side and all onboard died.
