Bristol Blenheim IV The Knabb, Lerwick Shetland

The two Blenheims of 404 Sqadron collided above Bressay Sound at 15:05 hrs when performing a Air Show during "War Weapon Week" . T1946 went out of control when they touched the wing tip of Blenheim Z6339 and crashed into the Knabb with the loss of all three on board.
F/Sgt. Robert Frederic Leighton. Passengers: Thomas Alexander Gray and Thomas Clapperton.

P/O (D H) Inglis of Blenheim Z6339 managed to make a crash landing on Bressay. Both he and the passengers: Cpl.H E Holmes and AC2 Fitt were injured.
