331 Squadron RNoAF serial FN-D and FN-A 10.02 1971
A formation of three Starfighthers took off from Bodø Air Base on an intercept training mission. Two of them flew straight into mountain Skotstind which was hidden in thick fog. Both pilots lost their lives. Lt. Richard Herbert Nyen in FN-A c/n 4039.
